Graphisoft has taken the wraps off Archicad 28, with new functionality not only for Archicad, but also BIMx and DDScad.
The Rhino-Grasshopper-Archicad connection has been improved, evaluating design variations faster with a built-in hotlink module and extended beam and column support.

Archicad AI Visualizer is now based in the cloud, providing instant access without the need for desktop installation and with “far quicker” rendering times.
BIMmTool, meanwhile, features improved point cloud capabilities, meaning large data sets can be managed faster.
BIMx
New to BIMx is Anti-aliasing in 3D, which enhances 3D model visualisation with smoother and more refined edges. Elements can be shown or hidden one by one or by group. Users can streamline the design review process with an in-context switch to another 3D model, such as Design Option, Renovation, or Structure Display. BIMx now also supports Apple Vision Pro, “offering an immersive 3D experience that revolutionizes stakeholders’ engagement with a project”.
DDScad
The latest version of DDScad enables engineers to design sustainable building systems using workflows tailored for MEP experts. DDScad’s enhanced photovoltaic system design options “empower electrical engineers to create a cleaner, greener future”, according to Graphisoft. The updated DIALux evo-DDScad Electrical connection allows engineers to design state-of-the-art lighting systems.
In addition, electrical engineers can level up their designs by modelling easy-to-plan, and flexible busbar trunking systems.
