A leading Northern European homebuilder, HusCompagniet, is to link its suppliers and specialist contractors across 2,000 sites using project management software in a bid to increase efficiency.
HusCompagniet’s suppliers, including masons, carpenters, electricians, plumbers and painters, can now update and get full insight into the construction process and progress in real time thanks to a collaboration with GenieBelt software.
“Building contractors often drive to sites in vain because they depend on another trade to finish before them. The slightest delay in one activity results in a chain reaction of delays that can now be avoided,” says Morten Chrone, Group COO at HusCompagniet.

“Modern construction workers want to work with companies that use digital technologies to make their work more transparent and efficient. “GenieBelt will form the digital backbone of our construction processes and will be integrated with our existing digital tools. We will be able to benefit from further efficiency gains and secure the data we generate on approximately 2,000 projects in 2018.
“In the short term, we will build faster and better, but we also have a platform for analysing and learning – all in all a huge benefit to our customers,” concludes Chrone.
The company hopes to make efficiency savings of 10-15%.
The partnership covers all of HusCompagniet’s activities in Denmark, Sweden and Germany. It built 2000 homes in 2017.
