Construction employers reminded to prioritise sun safety

The Federation of Master Builders (FMB) is encouraging construction workers to prepare for warmer weather as temperatures are set to reach nearly 30°C in parts of the UK. 

Construction workers face a higher risk of sunburn, heat-related illness, and skin cancer due to prolonged exposure to ultraviolet (UV) rays.

According to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), everyone working outside is at risk, with those who have fair skin, red hair, or many moles especially vulnerable.
