CITB nearly doubles NEST apprenticeship starts

The u003ca href=u0022https://www.citb.co.uku0022 target=u0022_blanku0022 rel=u0022noopeneru0022u003eConstruction Industry Training Boardu003c/au003e (CITB) has released its year-end figures for its New Entrant Support Team (NEST).

The data shows that NEST supported 4,128 apprenticeship starts in the financial year 2024-25, an increase from 2,340 the previous year.

NEST aims to help make recruiting and retaining an apprentice or new entrant easier for employers, and works closely with them to remove barriers they may face.

As part of the government’s £600m investment into construction skills, CITB will invest £32m to fund more than 40,000 industry placements each year for all Level 2 and Level 3 learners, those studying NVQs, BTECs, T Levels and advanced apprenticeships.
