Mace’s Matt Gough joins Neom

Matt Gough has relocated to Saudi Arabia and joined Neom as director of digital innovation for the design & construction sector. He was formerly director of innovation at Mace. Neom has made the headlines recently for its planned vertical city, The Line (image above).

In a LinkedIn post, Gough wrote: “The size of the capital projects being planned is not for the faint-hearted. But more importantly, the founding principles of nature preservation, carbon reduction and renewable energy underpin an approach that ensures this is approached responsibly, and sustainably. I’m here for acceleration. And I’m here for change.”


New head of digital engineering at HS2

James Daniel, formerly head of digital at Kier Highways, has become head of digital engineering at HS2. His career includes stints at Skanska, Aecom and Willmott Dixon. Daniel’s predecessor in the new role, Dr Sonia Zahiroddiny, has become the mega-project’s chief information officer (interim).
