Data centre delays disrupt digitalisation

Digitalisation could be decelerated by data centre supply chain constraints, claims new research by Rider Levett Bucknall. The research surveyed 475 executives from data centre operators and contractors across the UK and Europe. A total of 70% of the respondents agreed that data centre supply chain shortages and disruptions will limit digitalisation in Europe in the next five years.

AI is the top priority

Investing in new technologies, such as AI, is the top priority for one in three (34%) of project-based firms this year. That’s according to new research from Deltek which also reveals almost a fifth (18%) of the 400 respondents (from the UK, Australia and New Zealand) feel investing in more IT infrastructure is the biggest growth opportunity over the next 12 months. And nearly half (43%) are planning to change their 2024 strategy by working for clients that are more AI-focused.
