Oxfordshire council uses smart tech to reduce traffic

Oxfordshire County Council and Alchera Data Technologies have developed a functioning transport data exchange specifically designed to help public sector data analysts with traffic management.

The exchange can handle data from the likes of local bus companies, traffic sensors, CCTV networks and ANPR cameras. A prototype system that will be capable of offering transport data to technology companies and the public will now follow.

Kier’s DfMA approach for Scottish Prison Service

The Scottish Prison Service has awarded Kier the pre-construction services contract to deliver HMP Glasgow, a new prison, which is set to replace Victorian-era HMP Barlinnie, in 2026.
