The UK BIM Alliance has launched five short videos as the first part of the Back to BIM Basics campaign. The videos focus on what BIM is, why and how it should be adopted, the right software to use and how to effectively manage your data. With the Centre for Digital Built Britain coming to an end, the UK BIM Framework has changed its governance to a memorandum of understanding with the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, the Construction Leadership Council and the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure joining as collaborators alongside BSI and the UK BIM Alliance.
A robotics and AI hub has opened at Whitehaven, close to Sellafield. Known as RAICo1, it will ultimately be used by Sellafield Ltd, its supply chain partners and academia to develop the technology needed to decommission Sellafield and other sites like it.
Procore: driving down rework

Dr Mark Bew MBE steps up
Dr Mark Bew MBE has become CEO of digital twin specialist Cohesive Group. The latter is the Bentley Systems subsidiary that 18 months ago bought PCSG, the digital built environment consultancy founded in 2000 by Katherine Bew and chaired by Dr Mark Bew. He also chaired the government’s BIM Task Group for six years.
