CMap acquired Atvero in February 2023 as a document, drawing and email management solution. However, Atvero Mail’s release marks a change for the brand, as it will now exist as two separate products: Atvero Mail and Atvero PIM. Atvero PIM will continue to operate as a document, drawing and email management solution, while Atvero Mail will function as an email-only solution.

Leica boosts geospatial data collection
Leica Geosystems has introduced higher-performance single photon LiDAR (SPL) technology that boosts the efficiency of geospatial data collection.
With an expanded 60-degree field of view and more than 500 measurement channels, it can collect more than 14 million measurements per second. Thus the new SPL provides more than a fivefold increase in LiDAR collection rates compared with traditional linear-mode LiDAR, according to Leica.
The new SPL module is designed to integrate into a hybrid sensor – it is compatible with all Leica Geosystems peripherals, including the Leica PAV200 gyro-stabilised mount.
Spot captures reality with Leica
The Leica BLK ARC is the first reality capture device certified for use with Boston Dynamics' Spot the robot dog. Users can now initiate an Autowalk that includes laser scanning in the Spot app and execute it without human intervention.
The operator can also choose individual positions along a mobile scan path to conduct static scans for added detail.
Leica Geosystems software and cloud applications allow users to export mobile and static scans, along with panoramic images for team collaboration, data processing and the creation of digital twins.
Galliford Try’s site carbon data plan
As part of its net zero plans, Galliford Try will standardise monthly reporting across all sites and offices for performance monitoring of emissions. The contractor has set a milestone target of 100% of its sites and offices submitting data for site carbon emissions by 2025.
Digital GPs for Skanksa staff
Skanska has launched a digital platform to support the health and wellbeing of employees and their immediate families.
The Digital GP service is available 24/7, providing advice and, where appropriate, diagnosis, as well as prescription services, open referrals and fit notes.
UK robot factories shipped to the US
UK construction tech startup Automated Architecture is shipping two of its robotic ‘pop-up micro-factories’ to the US in its first foray into automated housebuilding in North America.
Packed into one shipping container, each micro-factory contains a robotic arm equipped with machine vision and AI capabilities. The arm can select and cut standard timber elements and assemble them into frame panels for the walls, ceilings and floors of a house.
Taking shipment of the two micro-factories is Fort Wayne, Indiana-headquartered Rival Holdings, a firm founded last year that invests in new construction technologies.
