BAM is seeking improved planning by being the first contractor to engage with a combination of Elecosoft’s Asta Powerproject project management software and an AI co-pilot from Nodes u0026amp; Links.
Asta Powerproject files can be automatically analysed, forecasted and simulated in the Nodes & Links AI platform. This “vastly reduces the margin for human error and delays,” Elecosoft claims. Over the next three years, as the partnership and technology advances, generative AI will support and enable project delivery teams to focus on “high-value activities like strategy development, acceleration analysis, risk reduction and leadership”.
Ivor Barbrook, head of planning and project control at BAM UK and Ireland, said: “BAM delivers hundreds of projects a year across the UK and Ireland. Our objective is always to complete them faster, more reliably, and at a reduced cost – both financial and environmental. This intelligent interpretation and use of data will have a transformative impact on our productivity. It is key to the planning and programming part of our business.
