BakerHicks launches BIM component to identify H&S risks

BakerHicks, the multi-disciplinary design and engineering subsidiary of Morgan Sindall, has launched a new component within BIM that protects the health and safety of construction workers and end users.

Risk Cube is a 3D BIM component which visually identifies and details risks within the design model.

The Risk Cube was born out of a need identified by the BakerHicks BIM and CDM teams to more closely align their CDM Regulations risk register outputs with the PAS 1192-6 standard. Brought in last year, PAS 1192-6 provides the first BIM-specific guidelines for the collaborative sharing of health & safety information.
