Augmented reality headset and platform goes global

XYZ Reality’s augmented reality headset and platform have been launched globally.

Founded in 2017, XYZ Reality’s engineering-grade AR – known as HoloSite – allows those working on major construction projects to see the plans, projected in full-size 3D, in front of them with a margin of error of just 5mm, making it particularly beneficial for projects with complex mechanical, electrical and plumbing services, such as hospitals, data centres and pharmaceutical facilities.

To date, the technology has had a limited commercial programme, but following a successful £20m funding round in June, XYZ has launched globally and is set to open a US headquarters.
