Tekla’s Global BIM Awards: winners include Arup’s Singapore Sports Dome

Projects from six different countries have been named as winners in the Tekla Global BIM Awards 2014, which celebrate projects that use Tekla BIM software, with Finland taking top honours with two projects.

Its span of 310 meters makes it the largest free-spanning dome structure in the world. The award citation says that the collaborative design and structural engineering team used 3D modeling to create a highly buildable roof that is extremely efficient, lightweight and sophisticated.
