Consultancy firm Arcadis has ramped up its expertise in intelligent buildings by forming a partnership with intelligent buildings software specialist Iconics and appointing Matthew Marson from WSP.
The two will work together to “provide a wide range of software solutions to meet the demands of a rapidly digitalising building industry”.
They will support clients with either altering their existing buildings or creating new intelligent buildings. The two firms said that “with a unique blend of software expertise and deep property sector knowledge, the partnership will look to bring something that transforms how buildings are experienced and operated”.

As part of the partnership, the Iconics intelligent buildings solution will be embedded in Arcadis’ UK headquarters.

In line with the partnership with Iconics, Arcadis has appointed Matthew Marson as regional sector director of manufacturing & technology as the company increases its expertise in intelligent buildings.
Marson has joined from WSP where he founded the Smart Places practice. He implemented Iconics’ solution at Accenture’s The Dock in Dublin, which claims to be one of the world’s most connected buildings.
