Amey delivers social value through prison-based skills programme

The Clean, Rehabilitative, Enabling and Decent (CRED) programme aims to support prisoners’ long-term rehabilitation

Amey has delivered £67 million in social value through its CRED programme.

With 44 prisons currently running the operation, it provides 64,000 hours of activity each month, supporting and mentoring 374 prisoners on the programme.

Established in 2018, the programme has helped place seven candidates in full-time employment within Amey’s supply chain.

Developed in collaboration with clients Ministry of Justice, HM Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS), and prison governors, the CRED programme supports rehabilitation by engaging prisoners through work experience and employment support.
